William Randolph
William Randolph I (bapt. 7 November 1650 – 11 April 1711) was a planter, merchant and politician in colonial Virginia who played an important role in the development of the colony. Born in Moreton Morrell, Warwickshire, Randolph moved to the colony of Virginia sometime between 1669 and 1673, and married Mary Isham (ca. 1659 – 29 December 1735) a few years later. His descendants include many prominent individuals including Thomas Jefferson, John Marshall, Paschal Beverly Randolph, Robert E. Lee, Peyton Randolph, Edmund Randolph, John Randolph of Roanoke, George W. Randolph, and Edmund Ruffin. Due to his and Mary's many progeny and marital alliances, they have been referred to as "the Adam and Eve of Virginia". He was the Treasurer of Virginia and the oldest child of William Randolph and Mary Isham. Early life and family Randolph was born to William Randolph and Mary Isham on the Turkey Island Plantation along the James River in Henrico County, Virginia in 1681 and resided there his entire life. He married Elizabeth Beverley (the daughter of Peter Beverley, a Speaker of the House of Burgesses and Treasurer of Virginia) around 1705 and the couple had seven children, five of which reached adulthood: *Beverley Randolph (born ) married Elizabeth Lightfoot and had no children. *Peter Randolph (born ) married Robert Bolling Jr.'s daughter, Lucille Bolling. William Randolph III (son Of Thomas)
William T Randolph (1713 or 1714-1745) was the son of Thomas Randolph of Tuckahoe in Goochland County, Virginia. He built the elegant two-story residence for Tuckahoe. Randolph held the positions of Clerk and Justice in Goochland County and he represented the county as a member of the House of Burgesses. He was the first Clerk of Albemarle County. He was a good friend of Peter Jefferson, whose wife Jane Randolph Jefferson was Randolph's first cousin. The Jeffersons raised Randolph's children after his wife's death in 1743 and his death in 1745. Early life William was born in 1712 or 1713. William Millican Randolph (September 19, 1893 – February 17, 1928) was a U. S. Army aviator from 1919 to 1928, until he was killed in an air crash. Randolph Air Force Base, Randolph Field, Texas, was named in his honor. Biography William M. Randolph was born in Austin, Texas. He attended the Texas A&M University, Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas prior to enlisting in the U. S. Army in 1916. He completed pilot training at Kelly Field, Texas, in 1919, too late for World War I. He served in 1928, as adjutant of the Air Corps Flying School at Kelly Field, on an Army Air Corps committee that was seeking a location for a new aviation training field in Texas. Willie Randolph
William Larry Randolph (born July 6, 1954) is an American former professional baseball second baseman, coach, and manager. During an 18-year career in Major League Baseball (MLB), he played from 1975 to 1992 for six different teams, most notably the New York Yankees with whom he won back-to-back world titles against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He has joined ESPN as a post-season baseball analyst, beginning in September 2013. Mainly, he appeared on ''Baseball Tonight'' and provided updates during Monday and Wednesday night September network telecasts.
