William R. Field
Bishop William Richard Field S.M.A., was an Irish born priest who served as the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Ondo in Nigeria. Born in Schull, Co. Cork, Ireland in 1907, he was ordained a priest in 1934, he joined the Society of African Missions, Dr Field was appointed Bishop of Ondo, in 1958, succeeding Bishop Thomas Hughes Thomas Hughes (20 October 182222 March 1896) was an English lawyer, judge, politician and author. He is most famous for his novel ''Tom Brown's School Days'' (1857), a semi-autobiographical work set at Rugby School, which Hughes had attended. ... SMA. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Ondo ( la, Ondoën(sis)) is a diocese located in the Ondo State in the Ecclesiastical province of Ibadan in Nigeria. Schull
Schull or Skull ( ; or ''Scoil Mhuire'', meaning "Mary's School") is a town in County Cork, Ireland. Located on the southwest coast of Ireland in the municipal district of West Cork, the town is dominated by Mount Gabriel (407 m). It has a sheltered harbour, used for recreational boating. The area, on the peninsula leading to Mizen Head, is a tourist destination, and there are numerous holiday homes along the adjoining coast. Schull had a population of 700 in 2016. The town's secondary school, Schull Community College, houses one of the only planetariums in Ireland, along with a sailing school. Each year Schull harbour hosts the Fastnet International Schools Regatta.
