William Marlowe
William Marlowe (25 July 1930 – 31 January 2003) was a British theatre, television and film actor. He served in the Fleet Air Arm and hoped for a career as a writer before training as an actor at RADA. He was cast in '' A Family at War'' (1970–72), as Harry Mailer in the ''Doctor Who'' serial ''The Mind of Evil'' (1971), as Sir Guy of Gisbourne in '' The Legend of Robin Hood'' (1975), as Brian Kettle in ''Rooms'' (1977), and as DCI Bill Russell in ''The Gentle Touch'' (1980–84). He appeared twice in ''Doctor Who'' (as Mailer in ''The Mind of Evil'' (1971) and as Lester in ''Revenge of the Cybermen'' (1975). ''Robbery'' is a 1967 British crime film directed by Peter Yates and starring Stanley Baker. The story is a heavily fictionalised version of the 1963 Great Train Robbery. The film was produced by Stanley Baker and Michael Deeley, for Baker's company Oakhurst Productions. Plot A criminal gang uses a gas canister to knock out the occupant of a car and then bundle him into a stolen ambulance. There they cut free a briefcase full of jewellery. Shortly afterward, when the criminals are changing vehicles, they are spotted by the police and a high-speed chase develops with the criminals getting away. ''Barlow at Large'', later ''Barlow'', is a British police procedural television programme broadcast in the 1970s, starring Stratford Johns in the title role. Johns had previously played Barlow in the ''Z-Cars'', '' Softly, Softly'' and '' Softly, Softly: Taskforce'' series on BBC television during the 1960s and early 1970s. ''Barlow at Large'' began as a three-part self-contained spin-off from ''Softly, Softly: Taskforce'' in 1971 with Barlow co-opted by the Home Office to investigate police corruption in Wales. Johns left ''Softly, Softly'' for good in 1972, but returned for a further series of ''Barlow at Large'' in the following year, Barlow having gone on full-time secondment to the Home Office. The film was produced by Stanley Baker through his company Oakhurst Productions, and starred Baker himself as Jonathan Wild. Tommy Steele played Jack Sheppard. The film was directed by novelist James Clavell. Mary Hopkin sings the title song. Roger Caesar Marius Bernard de Delgado Torres Castillo Roberto (1 March 1918 – 18 June 1973) was a British actor. He played many roles on television, radio and in films, and had "a long history of playing minor villains" before becoming best known as the first actor to play the Master in ''Doctor Who'' (1971–73).
