William J. Cason
William J. Cason (October 1, 1924 – January 4, 2017) was an American politician who served in the Missouri State Senate. He was born in Higginsville, Missouri and attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, studying law (LLB 1951). Cason was admitted to the Missouri bar in 1951. He served in the Missouri State Senate for the 31st district (Henry County) from 1960 to 1976. He was a member of the Democratic Party. He would become the President Pro Tempore of the Senate. Higginsville, Missouri
Higginsville is a city in Lafayette County, Missouri, Lafayette County, Missouri, within the United States. The population was 4,797 at the 2010 United States Census, 2010 census. History Higginsville was founded in 1869 and named after Harvey Higgins, the original owner of the town site. A post office has been in operation at Higginsville since 1870. Higginsville was formerly the site of the Confederate Memorial State Historic Site, Missouri Confederate Soldiers' Home. After the last of the Confederate veterans died, the lands were converted into a Confederate Memorial Cemetery. Clinton, Missouri
Clinton is a city in Henry County, Missouri, United States. The population was 8,792 at the 2020 census. It is the county seat of Henry County. History Clinton was laid out in 1836. The city was named for New York Governor DeWitt Clinton, a key promoter of the Erie Canal. A post office called Clinton has been in operation since 1850. The railroad reached Clinton in 1870, when the Census put the population at 840. Clinton was incorporated as the least-populous type of city in Missouri, a fourth-class city, in 1878. All but one voter voted in favor of incorporation. Resident Banton G. Boone, a Democrat, was Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives, 1875-1877, and Missouri Attorney General, 1885-1889.
