William Griesinger
William Griesinger (June 20, 1895 – April 16, 1978) was a politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a Progressive Conservative member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1945 to 1959 who represented the southwestern riding of Windsor—Sandwich. He was a cabinet minister in the governments of George Drew, Thomas Kennedy and Leslie Frost. Background He was born in Windsor, Ontario, the son of Lewis Griesinger. In 1934, he married Mary Adele Allen, with whom he raised daughter Rosemary and adopted son William. He was owner and general manager of the Windsor Lumber Company. Griesinger served with the Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War I, reaching the rank of major, and was awarded the Military Cross at the Battle of Vimy Ridge. Bill Warrender
William Kenneth Warrender (August 5, 1908 – April 6, 1997) was a Canadian politician, who represented Hamilton Centre in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1951 to 1962 as a Progressive Conservative member. Prior to his service in the Legislature, Warrender was a lawyer and civic politician in Hamilton. Early life and political career Warrender was born in Stoney Creek, Ontario in 1908. He attended the Hamilton Collegiate Institute, followed by post-secondary studies at both McMaster University and Osgoode Law School. Practicing as a lawyer in Hamilton, Warrender's first foray into politics saw him elected to Hamilton, Ontario City Council in 1940 as an alderman for Ward Two. George Arthur Welsh
George Arthur Welsh DSO & Bar (28 July 1896 – 16 February 1965) was a Canadian flying ace, farmer and political figure. He represented Muskoka—Ontario in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as a Progressive Conservative member from 1945 to 1955. He was born in Sunderland, Ontario, the son of Art Welsh, and was educated there, in Lindsay and at the University of Toronto where he qualified as a Physical Education teacher. In 1917, he enlisted with the Royal Flying Corps and served in northeast France during World War I. He received the Belgian Croix de guerre and was credited with five "victories". On his return, he served as village postmaster and took over ownership of the family farm and mill. James Noble Allan (November 13, 1894 – May 9, 1992) was a Canadian politician in Ontario. He was a Progressive Conservative member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1951 to 1975. He represented the riding of Haldimand—Norfolk. He served as a cabinet minister in the government of Leslie Frost. Background Allan was the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Canada in the Province of Ontario for the years 1966 and 1967. He also held a Bachelor of Science degree. He died in 1992 at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital.
