William Grasar
William Eric Grasar (18 May 1913 – 28 December 1982) was an English prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as the Bishop of Shrewsbury from 1962 to 1980. Born in Scunthorpe on 18 May 1913, he was ordained to the priesthood on 18 December 1937. He was appointed the Bishop of Shrewsbury by the Holy See on 26 April 1962. His consecration to the Episcopate took place on 27 June 1962, the principal consecrator was Francis Joseph Grimshaw, Archbishop of Birmingham, and the principal co-consecrators were John Aloysius Murphy, Archbishop of Cardiff, and Edward Ellis, Bishop of Nottingham. He participated in all the four sessions of the Second Vatican Council, held between in 1962 and 1965. The Archbishop of Birmingham heads the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham in England. As such he is the metropolitan archbishop of the Province of Birmingham. Joseph Gray (20 October 1919 – 7 May 1999) was an Irish people, Irish-born prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as the Roman Catholic Bishop of Shrewsbury, Bishop of Shrewsbury from 1980 to 1995. Born in Finternagh, County Cavan, Ireland on 20 October 1919, educated at St. Patrick's College, Cavan, he entered the seminary of St Mary's Oscott, Birmingham, he was Holy Orders, ordained to the Priesthood (Catholic Church), priesthood on 20 June 1943. Edward Ellis was Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Nottingham from 1944 to 1974. He was born on 30 June 1899 in Nottingham and ordained priest there on 15 October 1922.
