William Fellowes (MP, Died 1804)
William Fellowes (c. 1726–1804) was an English politician. Life The son of Coulson Fellowes of Ramsey Abbey, Huntingdonshire, and his wife, Urania Herbert, William Fellowes matriculated at St John's College, Cambridge in 1744, aged 17. Fellowes entered parliament in 1768 as member for : his mother's brother, Henry Herbert, 1st Earl of Powis, brought him in unopposed with his local interest. He generally supported the administrations of Augustus FitzRoy, 3rd Duke of Grafton and Lord North. He did not stand in the 1774 general election. He was High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire in 1779. In 1774, Fellowes had agreed to support Viscount Hinchingbrooke in , so acquiring the support of the Tory John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich, his father. He returned to parliament in 1784 for , once more unopposed, backed by John Wallop, 2nd Earl of Portsmouth, married to his sister Urania. Coulson Fellowes
Coulson Fellowes (1696–1769) was an English landowner and politician, Member of Parliament for from 1741 to 1761. Life He was the eldest son of the barrister William Fellowes (barrister), William Fellowes and his wife Mary Martyn; his maternal grandmother was Susannah Coulson, sister of Thomas Coulson (MP), Thomas Coulson. He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford in 1716. He was called to the bar at Lincoln's Inn in 1723. Fellowes was on a Grand Tour in France and Italy from 1723 to 1725. He was at Rome in 1724 with Conyers Middleton, and travelled on towards Venice with Middleton and John Folliot (British Army officer, died 1748), John Folliot. His father died 15 January 1724, and he succeeded as his main heir. He inherited the manor of Eggesford in Devon. William Fellowes (barrister)
William Fellowes (1660–1724) was an English barrister, a Master in Chancery from 1707. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1704. Life He was the son of William Fellowes of London, born 4 October 1660. his mother was Susanna Coulson, daughter of William Coulson of Greenwich, and sister of Thomas Coulson the Member of Parliament. He was educated at Enfield Grammar School, under Robert Uvedale. He matriculated at Trinity College, Cambridge in 1677. In 1678 he was admitted to Lincoln's Inn, and he was called to the bar in 1686. In 1700 Fellowes was one of the trustees of forfeited estates in Ireland, in connection with the Crown Lands, Forfeited Estates Act 1698. Fellowes was left money in the will of his father-in-law, who died in 1718, with a requirement it should be spent on property in Devon. Alice Spencer, Countess of Derby (4 May 1559 – 23 January 1637) was an English noblewoman from the Spencer family and noted patron of the arts. Poet Edmund Spenser represented her as "Amaryllis" in his eclogue ''Colin Clouts Come Home Againe'' (1595) and dedicated his poem ''The Teares of the Muses'' (1591) to her. Her first husband was Ferdinando Stanley, 5th Earl of Derby, a claimant to the English throne. Thomas Egerton, 1st Viscount Brackley, (1540 – 15 March 1617), known as 1st Baron Ellesmere from 1603 to 1616, was an English nobleman, judge and statesman from the Egerton family who served as Lord Keeper and Lord Chancellor for twenty-one years. Early life, education and legal career Thomas Egerton was born in 1540 in the parish of Dodleston, Cheshire, England. He was the illegitimate son of Sir Richard Egerton and an unmarried woman named Alice Sparks from Bickerton. He was acknowledged by his father's family, who paid for his education. He studied Liberal Arts at Brasenose College, Oxford, and received a bachelor's degree in 1559. He then studied law at Lincoln's Inn and called a barrister by 1572. John Egerton, 1st Earl of Bridgewater KB, PC (1579 – 4 December 1649) was an English peer and politician from the Egerton family. The son of Thomas Egerton, 1st Viscount Brackley and Elizabeth Ravenscroft, he matriculated at Brasenose College, Oxford in 1589 at the age of 10, and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1594. Joseph Martin (c. 1649 – 16 August 1729) was a London merchant and politician who sat in the British House of Commons in 1701 and from 1710 to 1715.
