William Caskey Swaim (born January 11, 1947) is an American television and film actor, best known for having played Staff Sergeant Harry Fitz in the 1978-1979 television series, '' Project U.F.O.'' Personal life Swaim, commonly known as "Bill" as a child, was born in Lexington, North Carolina. ''CHiPs'' is an American crime drama television series created by Rick Rosner and originally aired on NBC from September 15, 1977, to May 1, 1983. It follows the lives of two motorcycle officers of the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The series ran for 139 episodes over six seasons, plus one reunion television film in October 1998. ''Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker'' (later re-released as ''Night Warning'') is a 1981 American exploitation horror film directed by William Asher, and starring Susan Tyrrell, Jimmy McNichol, Julia Duffy, and Bo Svenson. ''The Dispatch'' is an American, English language daily newspaper published in Lexington, North Carolina. The newspaper is published Tuesday through Saturday with no Sunday or Monday editions. History ''The Dispatch'' began publication in 1902, succeeding the weekly ''Davidson Dispatch'' (1882–1902), founded by T.B. Eldridge. The paper increased to semi-weekly publication in 1919 and to a six-day-a-week schedule on September 6, 1948. On September 1, 2008 the publication eliminated its Monday edition and was published only five days. The New York Times Company acquired ''The Dispatch'' in 1973, and the Halifax Media Group acquired it on January 6, 2012. In 2015, Halifax was acquired by New Media Investment Group.
