William O’Bryan (6 February 1778 – 8 January 1868) was a Methodist preacher and founder of the Bible Christian movement. Life O'Bryan was born William Bryant at Gunwen farm, Luxulyan, Cornwall and was converted to Wesleyan Methodism. In 1815 he changed his surname to O'Bryan, wishing to assert his presumed Irish ancestry. On 18 October 1815 he founded, with 22 members, the Bible Christian sect later known as "Bryanites". The New Zealand Company, chartered in the United Kingdom, was a company that existed in the first half of the 19th century on a business model focused on the systematic colonisation of New Zealand. William Kirby Bryan (born June 21, 1955) is a former American football player in the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the fourth round of the 1977 NFL Draft out of Duke University. Bryan holds the second-longest NFL career for Duke graduates, behind only to Sonny Jurgensen. William Alanson Bryan
William Alanson Bryan (23 December 1875 - 18 June 1942) was an American zoologist, ornithologist, naturalist and museum director. Life and work Bryan was born on a farm in New Sharon, Iowa. After his education, and his zoology studies, he graduated in 1896 from Iowa State College. In 1900 he came to Hawaii and took the position of curator of ornithology at the Bernice P. Bishop Museum. In June of the same year he married Ruth May Goss, who died in 1904. In 1907 he left the museum and founded the Pacific Scientific Institution, which aimed to promote biological and anthropological research in the Pacific. He then became a professor of zoology at the Faculty of the College of Hawai'i. In 1909 he married Elizabeth Letson Bryan (1874-1919), who worked as mussels and snails collector.
