	William Best (cricketer) William Finlay Best (30 May 1865 – 3 August 1942) was an English cricketer who played in five first-class cricket matches for Kent County Cricket Club between 1890 and 1892. Best was born in Smarden in Kent, the son of a farmer originally from County Durham. He was educated at Grove House School at Folkestone and made his living as a hop factor, sourcing hops for the brewing industry. As his father intended he should become a civil engineer, he was sent to Liverpool in 1840 for study. At the age of fourteen, he became organist of the baptist chapel in Pembroke Road, which contained an organ with C C pedal-keyboard, then very rare in England. He practised four hours daily on this organ, and also worked regularly at pianoforte technique. 	William Best (Nova Scotia Politician) William Best (ca 1707 – November 17, 1782) was a political figure in Nova Scotia. He was a member of the 1st General Assembly of Nova Scotia from 1758 to 1759, and the 3rd & 4th assemblies from 1761 to 1770. He came to Halifax in 1749 and later settled at Cornwallis. In 1779, with John Burbidge, he helped establish an Anglican church there. In 1783, he was named a justice of the peace for King's County. Best died in Halifax at the age of 75. 	(I Love You) For Sentimental Reasons "(I Love You) for Sentimental Reasons" is a popular song written by Ivory "Deek" Watson, founding member of the Ink Spots and of the Brown Dots, and William "Pat" Best, founding member of the Four Tunes. The credits and Leeds Publishing Company list Watson as a co-writer. Best later claimed that Watson had nothing to do with the creation of the song, but Watson maintained in his late 1960s autobiography that he and Best wrote the song together, lyrics and music respectively.
