Willem Lenssinck
Willem Lenssinck (*Woerden, The Netherlands, April 21, 1947) is a Dutch-German sculptor and designer. Life and work Willem Lenssinck, son of a Dutch father and a German mother, grew up in Harmelen in The Netherlands. In the 1950s, the family moved to Utrecht, where Lenssinck later attended the Academy of Fine Arts (HKU). In the year of his graduation, 1969, he was recommended by his teachers to Royal Delft and immediately hired as a designer for industrial ceramics. Since 1972 Lenssinck is self-employed and worked on numerous assignments in ceramic or bronze. Since 1985 the artist lives in Langbroek. In 2001 he married Catherine Laimböck-Vermeulen, the daughter of the painter Piet Vermeulen. Lenssinck is father of Jeroen Lenssinck and stepfather of Lia Laimböck, both also active as artists. Woerden
Woerden () is a city and a municipality in central Netherlands. Due to its central location between Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, and Utrecht, and the fact that it has rail and road connections to those cities, it is a popular town for commuters who work in those cities. The European Fine Art Fair (abbreviated: TEFAF) is an annual art, antiques and design fair organized by ''The European Fine Art Foundation'' in the MECC in Maastricht, Netherlands. It was first held in 1988. The ten-day fair attracts about 75,000 visitors and is considered one of the world's leading art fairs. Louwman Museum
The Louwman Museum is a museum for historic cars, coaches, and motorcycles in The Hague, Netherlands. It is situated on the Leidsestraatweg near the A44 highway. The museum's former names are "Nationaal Automobiel Museum" and "Louwman Collection". History The collection of over two hundred cars has been assembled since 1934 by two generations of the Louwman family. The collection was founded in 1934 with the purchase of a 20-year-old Dodge by Dodge importer Pieter Louwman, the father of the current owner. In 1969, the collection of Mr. Geerlig Riemer was added. Riemer was also founder of the Institute for Automotive and Management (IVA) in Driebergen. The building which used to house Riemer's collection has since been used as a practical center for the IVA.
