Willem II–Gazelle was a Dutch professional cycling team that existed from 1966 to 1971. Its main sponsor was Dutch cigar maker Willem II and the co-sponsor was bicycle manufacturer Gazelle. René Pijnen
Marinus "René" Augustinus Josephus Pijnen (born 3 September 1946) is a Dutch former racing cyclist. He became Olympic champion in the 100 km team time-trial in the 1968 Summer Olympics with Joop Zoetemelk, Fedor den Hertog and Jan Krekels; he finished fifth in the individual road race. Professional career A professional from 1969 to 1987, Pijnen was a capable track cyclist, winning the European madison championship six times, a record he shares with Patrick Sercu). Royal Dutch Gazelle is the largest and most famous bicycle manufacturer in the Netherlands. Gazelle employs 550 workers at its factory in Dieren, Netherlands, producing 300,000 bicycles a year. Henri "Rik" Van Looy (born 20 December 1933 in Grobbendonk) is a Belgian former professional cycle sport, cyclist of the post-World War II, war period, nicknamed the ''King of the Classics'' or ''Emperor of Herentals'' (after the small Belgian city where he lived). He was twice World Cycling Championship, world professional road race champion, and was the first cyclist to win all five 'Monuments': the most prestigious one-day Classic cycle races, classics – a feat since achieved by just two others (both also Belgians: Roger De Vlaeminck and Eddy Merckx). Paris–Tours is a French one-day classic road cycling race held every October from the outskirts of Paris to the cathedral city of Tours. It is a predominantly flat course through the Chevreuse and Loire valleys; the highest point is 200 m, at Le Gault-du-Perche. It is known as a "Sprinters' Classic" because it frequently ends in a bunch sprint at the finish, in Tours. For several decades the race arrived on the 2.7 km long Avenue de Grammont, one of cycling's best-known finishing straits, particularly renowned among sprinters. La Flèche Wallonne (, French for "The Walloon Arrow") is a men's professional cycle road race held in April each year in Wallonia, Belgium. The first of two Belgian Ardennes classics, La Flèche Wallonne is today normally held mid-week between the Amstel Gold Race and Liège–Bastogne–Liège. E3 Harelbeke
E3 Saxo Bank Classic, previously known as E3 BinckBank Classic, E3 Harelbeke, Harelbeke–Antwerp–Harelbeke and E3-Prijs Vlaanderen, is an annual road cycling race in Flanders, Belgium. The race starts and finishes in Harelbeke, covering 203 kilometres, mainly in the Flemish Ardennes. First raced in 1958, it is one of the more recently founded one-day classics, but has developed into a prestigious and desirable event. Harry Steevens
Henri "Harry/Harrie" Steevens (born 27 April 1945) is a retired Dutch cyclist who was active between 1960 and 1972. He competed at the 1964 Summer Olympics in the individual road race and finished in 40th place. Two years later he won a silver medal in the team time trial at the 1966 UCI Road World Championships. He also won the Olympia's Tour (1965), Ronde van Limburg (1966) and Amstel Gold Race (1968), as well as individual stages of the Olympia's Tour (1964, 1965, 1966), Vuelta a Andalucía (1968) and Tour de Suisse (1970).
