Will Palmer
William Palmer (born 15 February 1997) is a British Motor racing driver, the son of Jonathan Palmer and brother of Jolyon Palmer. He is a past winner of the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award. He won the BRDC F4 Championship in 2015 having previously won the 2014 BRDC Formula 4 Winter Championship. Career Ginetta Juniors (2011-2013) A successful 2013 season saw Palmer finish third in the 2013 Ginetta Junior Championship. BRDC Formula 4 (2013-2015) Palmer competed in the BRDC Formula 4 Winter Championship in 2013, ahead of graduating to the category for 2014. A promising debut full season in BRDC F4 saw Palmer take two wins and finish sixth in the 2014 overall standings. He followed that up by winning the F4 Winter Championship, taking four wins from eight races. The 2013 BRDC Formula 4 Championship was a multi-event motor racing championship for open wheel, formula racing cars held across England. The championship features a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded drivers competing in 2 litre Duratec single seat race cars that conform to the technical regulations for the championship. The 2017 Formula Renault Eurocup is a multi-event motor racing championship for open wheel, formula racing cars held across Europe. Hillspeed
Hillspeed is a motor racing team based in the United Kingdom. They currently participate in the GB3 Championship and the GB4 Championship. The team was founded in 1970 in order to run the British Saloon Car Championship entry of Morgan Ollerenshaw. In subsequent years, the team focused primarily on single-seater racing. Later, the company would also be involved in high performance road cars. In recent years, Hillspeed have been one of the most successful teams in breaking new talent in junior racing series, winning the 2010 Formula Renault BARC season with Alice Powell as well as back-to-back Ginetta Junior championships with Tom Ingram in 2010 and Seb Morris in 2011. Silverstone Circuit is a motor racing circuit in England, near the Northamptonshire villages of Towcester, Silverstone and Whittlebury. It is the home of the British Grand Prix, which it first hosted as the 1948 British Grand Prix. The Aston Martin Autosport BRDC Award is an award set up in 1989 to reward and recognise young racing drivers from the UK. As its names suggest, the award is backed by Aston Martin, motorsport magazine Autosport, and the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC). As well as the prestige of winning the award, a test drive in an Aston Martin Formula One car and £100,000 – increased from £50,000 in 2010 – cash prize, the award winner is also presented with the Chris Bristow Trophy. McLaren ended its longstanding partnership with the accolade in January 2019, and Aston Martin replaced them.
