William Bradford Hall (born March 21, 1958) is an American actor, comedian and filmmaker. He is best known as a ''Weekend Update'' news anchor on ''Saturday Night Live'' and for creating the sitcoms ''The Single Guy'' and ''Watching Ellie''. Hall was a producer, writer, and director on the Golden Globe winning sitcom ''Brooklyn Bridge'', for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. William Hall (Australian Politician)
William Reaper Hall (3 May 1902 – 1 May 1963) was an Australian trade unionist and politician who served as a Labor Party member of the Legislative Council of Western Australia from 1938 until his death, representing North-East Province. Hall was born in Boulder, Western Australia. He attended state schools in Kalgoorlie and then began working as a miner. Hall later began working for the Kalgoorlie Tramways, and eventually became secretary of the Tramway Employees' Union. He was elected to the Kalgoorlie Road Board in 1933 and would serve until 1949, including as chairman from 1935. Hall entered parliament in 1938, defeating Catherine Reid Elliott, MBE, widow of the previous incumbent, Charles Elliott. William Lemuel Hall (July 30, 1928 – January 1, 1986) was an American professional baseball player, a catcher who played parts of three seasons (; ; ) in Major League Baseball with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The native of Moultrie, Georgia, batted left-handed, threw right-handed, stood tall and weighed . Hall played his entire, 13-year professional career in the Pittsburgh system, signing with the Pirates before the 1947 season. He played six seasons at the highest levels of minor league baseball with the Open-Classification Hollywood Stars and the Triple-A Salt Lake Bees and Columbus Jets. William Fletcher Hall (22 March 1853 – 1 November 1911) was an English cricketer. Hall's batting and bowling styles are unknown. He was born at Lindfield, Sussex. Hall made a single first-class appearance for Sussex against Gloucestershire at the County Ground, Hove in 1874. Hall took the wicket of Edward Knapp in Gloucestershire's first-innings, finishing with figures of 1/57 from 25 overs. In Sussex's first-innings, he was dismissed for a single run by Fred Grace. Having made 231 in response to Gloucestershire's 381, Sussex were forced to follow-on and in their second-innings he was dismissed for 18 by W. G. Grace, with his the final wicket to fall in Sussex's total of 148. Gloucestershire won by an innings and 2 runs. This was his only major appearance for Sussex. William Hammond Hall (1846–1934) was a civil engineer who was the first State Engineer of California, and designed Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, CA. Biography William Hammond Hall was born in Hagerstown, Maryland, on February 12, 1846. After serving with the U.S. army engineers in the Civil War, Hall was assigned in the latter part of the 1860s to surveying the Western regions of the United States and preparing topographical maps. During this same time, the citizens of San Francisco were considering building a grand park for their new and growing city. The city designated a tract of stretching out to the ocean that was known as the "outside land." In 1870 the Park Commission solicited bids for a topographical survey which was awarded to Hall.
