Wilkin Ramírez
Wilkin Emilio Ramírez (born October 25, 1985) is Dominican former professional baseball outfielder. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves and the Minnesota Twins. Playing career Minor Leagues Ramírez signed with the Detroit Tigers at the age of 17 as an undrafted free agent in 2003. He began playing for the Gulf Coast Tigers in the Gulf Coast League in 2003, but missed the entire 2004 season due to a shoulder injury. In 2005, he joined the Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps in the Midwest League, where he established himself as a prospect by hitting 16 home runs with 21 stolen bases. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. As an outfielder, they normally play behind the six players located in the field. By convention, each of the nine defensive positions in baseball is numbered. The outfield positions are 7 (left field), 8 (center field) and 9 (right field). Matt Walbeck
Matthew Lovick Walbeck (born October 2, 1969) is an American former professional baseball catcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for five different teams, primarily in the American League, from 1993 to 2003. He served as third base coach for the Texas Rangers in 2008. Professional career The draft and the minor leagues Standing at tall and weighing , Walbeck was selected by the Chicago Cubs 192nd overall (eighth round) in the 1987 MLB draft. Although his professional career started off very well—he hit .314 in 51 games in 1987—he eventually leveled out and become an average hitter. In Major League Baseball, a player to be named later (PTBNL) is an unnamed player involved in exchange or "trade" of players between teams. The terms of a trade are not finalized until a later date, most often following the conclusion of the season. Postponing a trade's final conditions or terms is often done for several reasons. First, the team receiving the PTBNL might not be certain which position they want to fill, so this type of deal gives them more time to figure it out. Second, this type of arrangement gives the team receiving the PTBNL more time to evaluate the available talent on the other team. The Toledo Mud Hens are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. They are located in Toledo, Ohio, and play their home games at Fifth Third Field. A Mud Hens team has played in Toledo for most seasons since 1896, including a 50-year history as a member of the now defunct American Association. The current franchise was established in 1965.
