Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero
Wilfrido María Guerrero (January 22, 1910 – April 28, 1995) was a Filipino playwright, director, teacher and theater artist. He wrote over 100 plays, 41 of which have been published. His unpublished plays have either been broadcast on the radio or staged in various parts of the Philippines. Guerrero's plays can be found in various anthologies: ''13 Plays'' (first published in 1947), ''8 Other Plays'' (1952), ''7 More Plays'' (1962), ''12 New Plays'' (1975), ''My Favorite 11 Plays'' (1976), ''4 Latest Plays'' (1980), and ''Retribution and eight other selected plays'' (1990). Guerrero also published a family memoir, ''The Guerreros of Ermita'' (1988). Manuel Severino Guerrero
Manuel S. Guerrero (8 January 1877 – 4 January 1919) was a Filipino medical doctor who studied beriberi in infants in the Philippines. Guerrero was born in Ermita, Manila then became part of the Captaincy General of the Philippines on 8 January 1877. He achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree at the Ateneo Municipal in the year 1894 and a Doctorate on Medicine at the University of Santo Tomas in 1902. He was also a writer for the publications "''La Republica Filipina'', ''La Independencia'', and ''La Patria"''. in addition he was a staff member of the ''Revista Filipina de Medicina y Farmacia''. Guerrero was also a member of the Colegio Medico-Farmaceutico, Asamblea de Medicos y Farmaceuticos de Filipinas, and the Sanggunian ng Kalusagan. He is famed for his deep involvement in theater and television and in children's literature, whether it be on television, in books or on stage. Severino Montano
Severino Montano (January 3, 1915 – December 12, 1980) was a playwright, director, actor and theater organizer with an output of one novel, 150 poems and 50 plays in his 65-year lifetime. Through the foundation of the Arena Theater, Montano institutionalized “legitimate theater” in the Philippines. Considered one of the Titans of Philippine Theater, he also have lifetime achievement award as part of National Artist of the Philippines. Life and career Montano was born in Laoag, Ilocos Norte.
