''Wild West'' is a 1946 American western film directed by Robert Emmett Tansey and starring Eddie Dean, Roscoe Ates and Sarah Padden. It was one of a series of westerns featuring Dean and Ates, made and distributed by Producers Releasing Corporation.Drew p.112-13 It was shot in Cinecolor. Plot Eddie leads a team laying out new telegraph wires, but faces efforts of a gang to sabotage their work. Ultimately it ends in a showdown between the two sides. Robert Emmett Tansey (June 28, 1897 – June 17, 1951) was an American actor, screenwriter, film producer and director. He was active in cinema in various roles from the 1910s to the 1950s. He was sometimes credited as Robert E. Tansey or Robert Tansey. Lee Bennett (actor)
Lee Bennett is an English footballer who plays for Shaw Lane. Playing career Bennett began his career with the youth set-up at Ossett Albion whilst attending Barnsley College. In January 2008 he linked up with the academy at Barnsley on extended schoolboy terms before signing a two-year scholarship deal with Lincoln City in December 2008. Bennett progressed through the youth and reserve teams at Sincil Bank and in August 2009 was awarded with a first team squad number, number 32. He made his Football League debut in the 2–0 victory at Bradford City on 18 August 2009, coming on as a substitute for Stefan Oakes in the 90th minute. After being an unused substitute for the home game against Burton Albion on 22 August 2009, he drifted away from the first team scene and joined Harrogate Town on a work experience basis in December 2009. Bud Osborne
Leonard Miles "Bud" Osborne (July 20, 1884 – February 2, 1964) was an American film actor. He appeared in more than 600 films and television programs between 1912 and 1963. Biography Osborne was born Miles Osborne in Knox County, Texas, on February 20, 1884. Osborne attended Oklahoma City schools and was a rancher in Oklahoma's Indian Territory before he became an entertainer. After working with the 101 Ranch Show for five years, he worked with Buffalo Bill's Wild West show for one year in 1912. He became a member of Thomas H. Ince's film company in 1915. Osborne specialized in westerns, and was also noted for his skill as a stage driver, and was thus much in demand from his first film in 1912 right through the early 1950s. He was working as a stunt man as late as 1948, in Ray Enright's ''Return of the Bad Men.'' Al Ferguson
Al Ferguson (19 April 1888 – 4 December 1971) was an Irish-born American film actor. Born in County Wexford, Ireland, he appeared in nearly 300 films between 1912 and 1956. Billed as Smoke Ferguson, by 1912 he was making Westerns for Selig Polyscope Company. In the 1920s he was the star, producer, and director for several low-budget Western films. He also appeared in some television Westerns in the 1950s. Ferguson died in Burbank, California. He is interred at Glendale's Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Chief Yowlachie
Chief Yowlachie (August 15, 1890 – March 7, 1966), also known as Daniel Simmons; was a Native American actor from the Yakama tribe in the U.S. state of Washington, known for playing supporting roles and bit parts in numerous films. He is perhaps best known for playing Two Jaw Quo, Nadine Groot's assistant cook, in the classic 1948 Western '' Red River''. Biography On August 15, 1890, Yowlachie was born on the Yakima Indian Reservation in Washington. He was educated at the Government Indian Trade School. From 1925 through 1930, Yowlachie made 12 films, 11 of which were Westerns. In his film debut, he played the title role in ''Tonio, Son of the Sierras'' (1925). A Bass-baritone, Yowlachie studied opera under Pasquale Amato and sang on radio and on stage (including performing with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra) from 1931 through 1939.
