Wild Mountain is a ski area and snow tubing park in the winter and a waterpark during the summer. It is located in Amador Township, Chisago County, near Taylors Falls, Minnesota. Overview During the winter months, Wild Mountain deliver25 runsand 4 terrain parks across 100 acres of terrain. The ski area has 4 chairlifts, 4 rope tows and one conveyor. Wild Mountain enjoys a vintage base lodge which was originally constructed in 1960 and has had numerous additions. The base lodge was upgraded between 2021 and 2023 including a new bar, new flooring, updated bathrooms, new deck and an updated entrance. Wild Mountain also has snow tubing parkthat has a conveyor lift and a 100 vertical foot decent. The tubing park has a sound system thumping music during all sessions. Amador Township is a township in Chisago County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 885 at the 2010 census. The unincorporated community of Almelund is located within the township. History Amador Township was organized in 1858. Amador is a name derived from Spanish meaning "lover". Geography Amador Township is located in eastern Chisago County along the St. Croix River, which forms the Wisconsin–Minnesota border. State Highway 95 ( MN 95) crosses the southwest part of the township, passing through Almelund and leading southeast to Taylors Falls and west to North Branch. Taylors Falls is a city in Chisago County, Minnesota, United States, located at the junction of U.S. Highway 8 and Minnesota State Highway 95. The population was 1,055 at the 2020 census. History Taylors Falls was platted in 1850 or 1851, and incorporated in 1858. The city was named for Jesse Taylor, a territorial politician. A post office has been in operation in Taylors Falls since 1851. North Branch, Minnesota
North Branch is a city in Chisago County, Minnesota, United States, at the junction of Interstate 35 and Minnesota State Highway 95. The population was 10,125 at the 2010 census. It is named for the north branch of the Sunrise River, which flows through the city. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of , of which, is land and is water. History North Branch became a township in 1861, and incorporated in 1881. In 1901 North Branch split into a village covering the more densely populated downtown area and a township covering the rest of the former village. The township later incorporated as the village of Branch in 1961. The two cities talked about a potential merger for years, beginning in the late 1970s.
