Widefield High School
Widefield High School is a high school in Security-Widefield, Colorado, United States. It opened its doors in 1958 and is the older of the two high schools in Widefield School District 3. Widefield's mascot is the Gladiator and its colors are navy blue, Columbia blue, silver and white. Athletics Widefield High School competes in the 4-A Pikes Peak Athletic Conference. The Gladiators play their home games for both football and soccer at C.A. Foster Stadium, which is shared with Mesa Ridge High School. Widefield plays their home baseball games down the street from the school at the Widefield Community Center. Recently Widefield High School has enjoyed much success in football, baseball, basketball, wrestling, and soccer, with football making it to the 2010 state playoffs. The Victors
"The Victors" is the fight song of the University of Michigan. Michigan student Louis Elbel wrote the song in 1898 after the football team's victory over the University of Chicago, which clinched an undefeated season and the Western Conference championship. Vincent Terrell Jackson (January 14, 1983 – February 15, 2021) was an American professional football player who played as a wide receiver for 12 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Thomas Wayne Hovasse (born January 31, 1967) is an American basketball coach and former player. After growing up in Security, Colorado, he played college basketball at Penn State. Darryl Clack
Darryl Earl Clack (born October 29, 1963) is a former American football running back in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys. He also was a member of the Toronto Argonauts in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Arizona State University. Early years Clack was a native of San Antonio, Texas, before moving to Colorado during high school. Known as "Mr. Click" back then, he attended Widefield High School. Boris Berian (born December 19, 1992) is an American middle distance runner. He was the 2016 National Champion and represented the United States at the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships in the 800 meters where he won the gold medal. He set his indoor best winning the world championships at 1:45.87, boldly front running a sub-50 first 400. Outdoors he set his personal best 1:43.34 at the 2015 Herculis meet.
