Wickramasinghapura ( si, වික්රමසිංහපුර, ta, விக்கிரமசிங்கபுர) or Wickramasinghepura is a suburb located within Battaramulla in the Western Province of Sri Lanka. It is a suburb of Colombo attached to the Kaduwela Municipal Council. Wickramasinghapura is located in between Pelawatte and Thalawathugoda. Thalawathugoda ( si, තලවතුගොඩ, ta, தலவத்துகொட) is a suburb of Colombo. It is located approximately from the city centre of Colombo, adjacent to Battaramulla and Pelawatte on the Borella-Kottawa Road, bordering Sri Jayawardenapura-Kotte. Kaduwela, Western Province
Kaduwela ( si, කඩුවෙල, ta, கடுவெலை) is a suburb of Colombo in the Colombo District, Western Province, Sri Lanka. It is located about from Colombo city centre on the Colombo - Avissawella Old Road (Low Level Road) and about from Kollupitiya on the New Kandy Road from Ethulkotte to Kandy. Etymology Kaduwela was originally ''Kadudevola'', a compound of ''Kadu'' (sword) and ''Devola'' (shrine). It was the location of a shrine of the goddess Pattini, linked to a golden sword used in the 'water cutting' ritual. Battaramulla is a suburb of Colombo, situated from the city centre at Colombo Fort, near the Parliament of Sri Lanka. It is one of the fastest developing administrative, commercial and residential areas in the Colombo District, being home to the country's elite. Battaramulla is an important town in Sri Lanka, because of the Sri Lankan government's decision to locate all the government department head offices in this town.
