Alain Wicki (*6. July 1962) is a Swiss skeleton racer who competed from the 1980s to the early first decade of the 21st century. He won a complete set of medals in the men's event at the FIBT World Championships with a gold in 1989, a silver in 1998, and a bronze in 1982. Berenice Wicki
Berenice Wicki (born 24 September 2002) is a Swiss snowboarder who competes in the halfpipe discipline. She represented Switzerland at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Career At the 2015–16 FIS Snowboard Europa Cup #13 in Davos, Wicki won in the women's halfpipe #1 event. Wicki medaled gold at the 2017 FIS Snowboarding Junior World Championships in Laax. In the 2018 Junior World Championships in Cardrona, New Zealand, Cardrona, Wicki ranked 6th. At the 2019 Junior World Championships in Leysin, Wicki ranked 5th. In the 2018–19 FIS Snowboard Europa Cup #19 in Crans-Montana, Wicki won in the women's halfpipe event. Bernhard Wicki
Bernhard Wicki (28 October 1919 – 5 January 2000) was an Austrian actor and film director. Life and career Wicki studied in the city of Breslau such topics as art history, history and German literature. In 1938, he transferred to the drama school of the Staatliches Schauspielhaus in Berlin. In 1939, because of his membership in the ''Bündische Jugend'', he was imprisoned for many months in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp. After his release, he moved to Vienna, then in 1944 to Switzerland. After World War II, he starred in many films, including ''Die letzte Brücke'' (1953) and '' Es geschah am 20. Juli'' (1955). He was also a photographer. His first attempt at directing came three years later with the documentary ''Warum sind sie gegen uns?'' (1958). He became internationally famous with his 1959 anti-war film ''Die Brücke'', which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Franz Wicki
Franz Wicki (born 28 January 1939 in Grosswangen) is a Swiss politician, lawyer and member of the Swiss Council of States (1995–2007). Wicki is a member of the Christian Democratic People's Party (CVP/PDC). From 1979 to 1995, he was part of the cantonal parliament of Lucerne, of which he was president in 1992. From 1995 to 2007, he was a member of the Swiss Council of States. After studying law at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) and Freiburg (Germany), he has been an attorney and notary public in Sursee since 1966. He was a judge of the cantonal insurance court (1969–1973) and the administrative court (1973–1995). Wicki is married and a father of three.
