''Why Not Me?'' is a 2015 humor book by actress and writer Mindy Kaling. The book consists mostly of humorous observational essays based on Kaling's life, and it also includes one chapter of fiction. The book spent 16 weeks on ''The New York Times'' Best Sellers list. Synopsis The book is a collection of anecdotal essays written by Kaling about her experiences and observations about Hollywood. Carina Chocano of ''The New York Times'' noted that the book was "loosely fashioned around themes of approval and entitlement." The book also contains a chapter that is a work of fiction about an alternative world where Kaling is a Latin teacher in a prep school on the Upper East Side of New York. Surfaces is an American music group based in College Station, Texas. It currently consists of vocalists/guitarists Forrest Frank and Colin Padalecki. Their music is a blend of jazz, soul, pop, hip hop, reggae, and calypso. They have released four studio albums. Their first independent studio album, ''Surf'', was released in 2017. History Surfaces was formed in 2017. Colin Padalecki began creating music in high school with his cousin and singer Alexa Padalecki. ''Why Not Me?'' is a 1999 political satire novel by Al Franken. Synopsis The book is made up of three different sections. First is Franken's autobiography, ''Daring to Lead''. Second is a campaign diary, following Franken and his campaign staff across the primary states of Iowa and New Hampshire. The final section, supposedly written by Bob Woodward, is a behind-the-scenes account of Franken's first hundred days as president, titled ''The Void''. There is also an epilogue, set several decades after the plot, giving historical perspective on the Franken presidency and Franken's post-presidential life.
