Who Then Now
Who Then Now? is a biographical video released by American nu metal band Korn on March 18, 1997. It was certified platinum in the United States by the RIAA on May 5, 1999. History It features interviews with the band up to the recording of ''Life Is Peachy'', plus music videos for " Blind", " Shoots and Ladders", "Clown", and " Faget". The last video, "Faget", like " Good God", was never released. The original VHS is out of production, but it can be found in its entirety on the follow-up release, ''Deuce'', which effectively picks up where ''Who Then Now?'' left off and follows the band up to the recording of '' Untouchables''. Re-release Korn re-released ''Who Then Now?'' in its entirety on DVD on 14 July 2009. It does not include any new extra features. Korn (stylized as KoЯn, or occasionally KoRn) is an American nu metal band from Bakersfield, California, formed in 1993. The band is notable for pioneering the nu metal genre and bringing it into the mainstream. Originally formed in 1993 by three members of the band L.A.P.D., Korn's current lineup features founding members James "Munky" Shaffer (guitar); Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu (bass); Brian "Head" Welch (guitar, backing vocals); and Jonathan Davis (lead vocals, bagpipes), with the addition of Ray Luzier (drums) in 2007, replacing the band's first drummer David Silveria. Korn made a demo tape, ''Neidermayer's Mind'', in 1993, which was distributed free to record companies and on request to members of the public. Their debut album '' Korn'' was released in 1994, followed by ''Life Is Peachy'' in 1996. Clown (Korn Song)
"Clown" is a song by the American nu metal band Korn. It was released as the fourth single from their self-titled debut album on July 12, 1995. Meaning What inspired Jonathan Davis to write this song though, was an early gig in San Diego where a person in the audience was booing them and telling them to "go back to Bakersfield!" Jonathan knelt down to hear him and the guy took a swing at him. He missed and the band's manager assaulted him. The person was all tattooed and looked like a "clown" to Jonathan Davis, inspiring the title of the song and also the line "Hit me clown, because I'm not from your town." Preceding the song is a conversation with Korn fooling around at the song's recording, and in the conversation, one of the members says "I wish we could put 'Twist' on a fucking tape"; this references a track that would eventually appear on the band's next album ''Life Is Peachy''. ''Untouchables'' is the fifth studio album by American nu metal band Korn. The album was officially released on June 11, 2002 and featured the Grammy-winning single " Here to Stay". ''Untouchables'' debuted at number two on the ''Billboard'' 200 with 495,991 copies sold during its first week, second only to Eminem's ''The Eminem Show.'' "Faget" is a song by the American nu metal band Korn. It is the sixth track from the band's self-titled debut studio album. The song is about how Korn's lead vocalist, Jonathan Davis, was bullied in high school for being into arts, wearing eyeliner, being into new wave music, and wearing frilly shirts. According to Jonathan Davis, he was constantly called names such as " faggot". Also, there was a rumor that Davis was gay. Music and structure The title is a mockery of American children's game Chutes and Ladders (also known in the United Kingdom as Snakes and Ladders), with the song's lyrics mostly consisting of nursery rhymes. "Blind" is a song by American nu metal band Korn for their self-titled debut album. It was released as the album's first single in August 1994. Music and structure "Blind" had been written while Jonathan Davis was in Sexart before he left the band to join Korn. The song was composed entirely by Dennis Shinn. Korn's contribution came once they re-recorded the song for their debut album LP 1994. Even though the song was completed by Sexart, Korn added an extended song intro, utilizing drum cymbals, and an added small Bass-Line. Their addition acted as an intro that led into the original intro composed by Sexart. Also, Korn applied a small musical change away from Sexart's version, which landed under the vocal chorus ''"I'm so blind"'' lyric. That change didn't occur until the Korn LP was recorded. ''Life Is Peachy'' is the second studio album by American nu metal band Korn. It was released on October 15, 1996, through both Immortal Records and Epic Records. After the release of Korn's 1994 self-titled debut album, the band reunited with Ross Robinson to produce and went back to Indigo Ranch Studios to record. ''Life Is Peachy'' features such themes as drugs, social encounters, sex, betrayal, and revenge. The album has fourteen tracks, excluding the hidden track after "Kill You".
