"Who I Am Hates Who I've Been" is a song by American Christian rock band Relient K. It was released in June 2005 as the second single from their 2004 album '' Mmhmm''. An acoustic version, originally recorded for ''Apathetic EP'', is included on the B-side, was included on the 2008 ''The Bird and the Bee Sides'' album. The music video entered ''TRL''s top 10 in 2005, reaching as high as eight on the countdown. "Who I Am Hates Who I've Been" was released to radio on August 23, 2005. The song reached No. 58 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100, making it their most successful single to date. The song has been certified gold in the US for sales surpassing 500,000 units. 37th GMA Dove Awards
The 37th Annual GMA Dove Awards, also called the 37th Annual GMA Music Awards, were held on April 5, 2006 recognizing accomplishments of Christian musicians for the year 2005. The show was held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee, and was hosted by Rebecca St. James and Kirk Franklin. A Dove Award is an accolade by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) of the United States to recognize outstanding achievement in the Christian music industry. The awards are presented annually. John Warne
John Warne is an American musician who has been active since 1996. He is best known for being the bassist for the Christian rock band Relient K as well as being a founding member of the Christian punk band Ace Troubleshooter. His hometown is Minneapolis, Minnesota and lives in Golden, Colorado. Bands Relient K Warne originally started filling in as a bassist for Relient K in September 2004, after the then bassist Brian Pittman left the band less than a month earlier. Warne joined Relient K as the full-time bassist and backing vocalist in February 2005. He has contributed to four Relient K projects, and on four full-length albums, ''Five Score and Seven Years Ago'', '' Forget and Not Slow Down'', ''Is for Karaoke'', and ''Collapsible Lung''. Matt Hoopes
Matthew "Matt" Ryan Hoopes is an American musician, guitarist, singer, and songwriter, most known as the lead guitarist of Relient K. Hoopes has played lead guitar and provided backing vocals for Relient K since 1998 and is one of two constant members of the band, the other being lead vocalist Matt Thiessen. Biography Along with Matt Thiessen and Brian Pittman, Hoopes co-founded the band during his junior year of high school at Canton McKinley High School in Canton, Ohio. He met Thiessen when they were in the Church choir together in second grade. Matt Thiessen once said in the book ''The Complex Infrastructure Known as the Female Mind'' that Hoopes and Brian Pittman were the athletes in high school, and while they were friends with Thiessen, they were also probably considered cooler than Thiessen. Dave Douglas (drummer)
David Alan Douglas (born August 19, 1979) is an American musician, most widely known for being in the Christian music industry as the drummer of the Christian rock band Relient K. Douglas joined the band after their former drummer, Stephen Cushman, departed in late 2000. Douglas had initially played the drums and provided background vocals for the band for seven years. In 2014, he returned to playing in the band in a touring capacity, and became a full member again in 2022. His style often focuses on heavy snare hits on the beat and complex kick patterns. He sang a few solos for the band, and had also started a side solo music project called Agnes. Back when he joined Relient K, Douglas was also filling in as a guitarist for Ace Troubleshooter, whose frontman was future Relient K bassist John Warne. Plymouth Reliant
The Plymouth Reliant and Dodge Aries are mid size cars introduced for model year 1981 as the first " K-cars" manufactured and marketed by the Chrysler Corporation. The Reliant and Aries were the smallest cars to have the traditional 6 passenger 2 bench seat with column shifter seating arrangement favored by customers in the United States (Chrysler marketed the car as being able to seat "six Americans"), similar to larger rear-wheel drive cars such as the Dodge Dart and other front-wheel drive cars such as the Chevrolet Celebrity.
