Whitewright is a town in Fannin and Grayson Counties in the U.S. state of Texas. The population was 1,604 at the 2010 census, down from 1,740 at the 2000 census. The Grayson County portion of Whitewright is part of the Sherman– Denison Metropolitan Statistical Area. Geography Whitewright is located in eastern Grayson County at (33.511136, –96.393400), with a small portion extending east into Fannin County. Fannin County, Texas
Fannin County is a county in the far northeast of the U.S. state of Texas, on the border with Oklahoma. As of the 2020 census, its population was 35,662. The county seat is Bonham. The county was named for James Fannin, who commanded the group of Texans killed in the Goliad Massacre during the Texas Revolution.
