Whitehouse (magazine)
''Whitehouse'' magazine, also known as ''Whitehouse International'', was a British pornographic magazine originally published by David Sullivan, and later sold to Gold Star Publications. It was first published in 1974. Billed as "The International Quality Glamour Magazine", it was substantially more explicit than its predecessors, showing uncensored images of genitalia. Although reputed to have been named after anti-pornography campaigner Mary Whitehouse, the magazine contained a disclaimer saying that its name had nothing to do with her. The model Mary Millington made numerous appearances in the magazine. Although ''Whitehouse'' was one of Sullivan's most successful magazines, sales fell over the years. Elliott Whitehouse
Elliott Mark Whitehouse (born 27 October 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for National League North side Spennymoor Town, on loan from Scunthorpe United. Whitehouse is a product of Sheffield United's academy and had loan spells with York City and Alfreton Town before being released in 2014. He joined Notts County and after a loan spell with Nuneaton Town was released in 2015. He had a short spell with FC Halifax Town before joining Nuneaton Town permanently. In 2016, Whitehouse joined Lincoln City, helping them to promotion to League Two and scoring the only goal in the 2018 EFL Trophy Final. Sheldon Whitehouse (born October 20, 1955) is an American lawyer and politician serving as the junior United States senator from Rhode Island since 2007. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as a United States Attorney from 1993 to 1998 and the 71st attorney general of Rhode Island from 1999 to 2003. Early life and education Whitehouse was born on October 20, 1955, in New York City, the son of Mary Celine (née Rand) and career diplomat Charles Sheldon Whitehouse, and grandson of diplomat Edwin Sheldon Whitehouse (1883–1965). White House
The White House is the official residence and workplace of the president of the United States. It is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C., and has been the residence of every U.S. president since John Adams in 1800. The term "White House" is often used as a metonym for the president and his advisers. The residence was designed by Irish-born architect James Hoban in the neoclassical style. Hoban modelled the building on Leinster House in Dublin, a building which today houses the Oireachtas, the Irish legislature. Whitehouse were an English band formed in 1980, largely credited for the founding of the power electronics subgenre of industrial music. History and personnel The name Whitehouse was chosen both in mock tribute to the British morality campaigner Mary Whitehouse, and in reference to a British pornographic magazine of the same name. The group's founding member and sole constant was William Bennett. He began as a guitarist for Essential Logic. He wrote of those early years, "I often fantasised about creating a sound that could bludgeon an audience into submission." Bennett later recorded as Come (featuring contributions from the likes of Daniel Miller and J. G. Thirlwell) before forming Whitehouse in 1980.
