Whitehill Secondary School
Whitehill Secondary School (formerly Whitehill Senior Secondary School) is a Scottish non-denominational comprehensive secondary school located in the suburb of Dennistoun in Glasgow. The school is a part of the Whitehill Campus, along with Golfhill Primary School and Westercraigs Nursery. The campus was assembled in 2007, following the closure of the Golfhill Primary building due to structural issues. The school moved into the main building in 2009, with Westercraigs having their own structure. History The school was founded in 1891 as Whitehill Senior Secondary School in a large red sandstone building in Dennistoun's Whitehill Street. The old school was demolished after the new school was opened in 1977 at its present location in Dennistoun's Onslow Drive renamed Whitehill Secondary School. Comprehensive School

Alasdair Gray
Alasdair James Gray (28 December 1934 – 29 December 2019) was a Scottish writer and artist. His first novel, ''Lanark'' (1981), is seen as a landmark of Scottish fiction. He published novels, short stories, plays, poetry and translations, and wrote on politics and the history of English and Scots literature. His works of fiction combine realism, fantasy, and science fiction with the use of his own typography and illustrations, and won several awards. He studied at Glasgow School of Art from 1952 to 1957. As well as his book illustrations, he painted portraits and murals, including one at the Òran Mór venue and one at Hillhead subway station. Jim Tolmie
James Tolmie (born 21 November 1960) is a Scottish retired footballer who played for clubs including Morton, Lokeren and Manchester City. He started his career at Morton and made his senior debut on 28 October 1978. Then he was sold to Belgian side Lokeren in 1981, playing 18 games without scoring before returning to Britain in 1983. James McArthur
James McFarlane McArthur (born 7 October 1987) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for club Crystal Palace. McArthur started his career at Hamilton Academical and was part of the team that won the 2007–08 Scottish First Division title. ''Chewin' the Fat'' is a Scottish comedy sketch show, starring Ford Kiernan, Greg Hemphill and Karen Dunbar. ''Still Game'' is a Scottish sitcom, produced by The Comedy Unit with BBC Scotland. It was created by Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill, who played the lead characters, Jack Jarvis, Esq and Victor McDade, two Glaswegian pensioners. Ford Kiernan
Ford John Kiernan (born 10 January 1962) is a Scottish comedian, actor, and writer. He is best known for his work with Greg Hemphill on the BBC Scotland comedy series ''Chewin' the Fat'' (1999–2005) and ''Still Game'' (2002–2007, 2016–2019). He also starred as Archie Henderson in ''Dear Green Place'' (2007–2008) and as Colin Holliday in ''Happy Hollidays'' (2009).
