White Raven (2015 Film)
White Raven is a 2015 Canadian survivalist horror film directed by Andrew Moxham. The movie takes its title from a native American legend about a white raven stealing light and giving it to the world. White Raven stars Steve Bradley ( She Who Must Burn) and Aaron Brooks ( Alien Trespass). It had its world premiere November 29, 2015 as part of Toronto's Blood in the Snow Festival. Production company White Buffalo Films, is also behind the critically acclaimed horror-thriller She Who Must Burn. Plot Four men head into the remote BC wilderness on an annual camping trip. When one of them starts to mentally break down, the others have to fight for their lives. Reception Writer/director Andrew Moxham received a screenwriting award nomination at the 2016 Leo Awards, a program for the British Columbia film and television industry held every summer in Vancouver, British Columbia. ''She Who Must Burn'' is a 2015 horror film that was directed by Larry Kent. He co-wrote the film with Shane Twerdun, who also stars. The movie had its world premiere on 26 July 2015 at the Fantasia Film Festival and stars Sarah Smyth as a woman who finds herself the target of anti-abortion activists. Synopsis Angela (Sarah Smyth) used to work at a doctor's office that was shut down after its doctor was shot to death by anti-abortion protester Abraham Baarker (James Wilson), who was arrested soon after. Undeterred, Angela decides to open a home clinic where she provides basic services – something that puts her at odds with the rest of the Baarker family, who believes that she is performing abortions. Blood in the Snow Canadian Film Festival (BITS) is an annual film festival in Canada. It was founded by Kelly Micheal Stewart in 2012 as an offshoot of his then ongoing monthly film series entitled "Fright Nights at the Projection Booth" which were held at the former Projection Booth theater in Toronto, Ontario. With a considerable number of Canadian films all vying for a spot in the showcase, Stewart decided to put together the first edition of what would become a yearly film festival that replaced the monthly series.
