Michael Carson (television Director)
Michael Carson (14 June 1947 – 14 May 2005) was an Australian television director who was responsible for some of Australia's most significant series in the last decades of the twentieth century. His work as a director, producer and script editor was recognised with AFI Awards, Logie Awards, Penguin Awards and AWGIE Awards. She was the author of a memoir detailing her life and career on both radio and subsequently on television. Early life Crocker was born in Bankstown, Sydney, the daughter of Edna May Crocker (née Dingwall 1905 – 18 November 1992) and upholsterer Roy Samuel Crocker (28 February 1906 – 1980). She was educated at Bankstown North Public School and Meriden Church of England Girls Grammar School, Strathfield.
