White-lored Gnatcatcher
The white-lored gnatcatcher (''Polioptila albiloris'') is a species of bird in the family Polioptilidae. It is found in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua. Taxonomy and systematics The white-lored gnatcatcher was previously considered conspecific with the black-capped gnatcatcher (''Polioptila nigriceps''). ''Polioptila'' is a genus of small insectivorous birds in the family Polioptilidae. They are found in North and South America. The genus ''Polioptila'' was introduced by the English zoologist Philip Sclater in 1855. Although he listed several members, he did not specify a type species.
