Jackson Bigelow Cooper (December 21, 1867 – 1953) was an American stage and screen character actor prominent in the silent film era. Biography Born in Springfield, Ohio in 1867, Cooper's early acting experience came in stock theater, including acting with the first stock company at the Murray Hill Theater in New York City. He began in films in 1911 and worked for such companies as Edison and Vitagraph. In 1915 Cooper and a friend were nearly killed in a road accident when their car overturned trapping them underneath. Charles Sutton (actor)
Charles Sutton (1856 – July 20, 1935) was an American actor of the silent era. He appeared in more than one hundred films between 1911 and 1923. In addition to his work on film, Sutton acted on stage, including working with the Pasadena Players at the Pasadena Community Playhouse. He left there to go to New York, where he worked in plays, including ''The Three Musketeers''. In his later years, Sutton lived in Englewood, New Jersey, in the Actors Fund Home. On July 20, 1935, he died in Englewood Hospital, aged 79. George Kleine
George Kleine (1864June 8, 1931) was an American film producer and cinema pioneer. Biography Klein's father, Charles, was a New York optician who sold optical devices and stereopticons. Klein joined the family firm, moving to Chicago in 1893 where he set up the ''Kleine Optical Company''. In 1896, the company started selling film-making equipment, and in 1899, the company obtained an exclusive arrangement with Thomas Edison to sell his film and equipment in the Chicago area. In 1903, Kleine started distributing Biograph films as well as European films and was a pioneer in renting films to theatres. He became involved in patent disputes with Thomas Edison in 1908, causing members of the industry to establish the Motion Picture Patents Company. He founded Kalem Company, an American film studio in New York City in 1907 with Samuel Long, and Frank J. Marion. The company was named for their initials, K, L, and M. Kleine.
