When He's Gone
"When He's Gone" is the first and only American single from the 1991 Bee Gees album '' High Civilization''. Warner Bros. did nothing to promote the album or the single and neither charted in America, the first and only time a Bee Gees album failed to chart in America (It briefly appeared on the Cashbox singles chart rising to #86). The Bee Gees made two TV appearances in May, 1991 to promote the single. They appeared on Rick Dees' show ''Into the Night'' where they sang "When He's Gone" and " One" and on ''The Arsenio Hall Show'' they sang "When He's Gone" and " To Love Somebody". Two different B-sides were issued. In the United States, the song "True Confessions" was used, which was a song that was not included on the cassette versions of '' High Civilization''. The B-sides in the UK were live performances of "Massachusetts" and " You Win Again" done in Melbourne, Australia from their 1989 '' One For All Tour''. Bee Gees
The Bee Gees were a musical group formed in 1958 by brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. The trio were especially successful in popular music in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and later as prominent performers in the disco music era in the mid-to-late 1970s. The group sang recognisable three-part tight harmonies; Robin's clear vibrato lead vocals were a hallmark of their earlier hits, while Barry's R&B falsetto became their signature sound during the mid-to-late 1970s and 1980s. The A-side and B-side are the two sides of phonograph records and cassettes; these terms have often been printed on the labels of two-sided music recordings. George "Chocolate" Perry
George Wesly Perry (born 1953), known professionally as "Chocolate Perry" is an American bassist, songwriter and producer. Perry has worked with the Bee Gees, John Cougar, Jon Secada, Stephen Stills, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Al Kooper, Dion DiMucci, Joe Walsh, Joe Vitale, Ivano Fossati and many more. Early life and career Perry was born and raised in Carver Ranches, West Park, Florida. He started his career in the 1970s at the leading soul and disco independent TK Records, run by entrepreneur/ record distributor, Henry Stone in Hialeah, Florida. He played bass on many of the records issued by the company before its demise in 1980. He later went out on the road, performing with some of the biggest rock and pop artists of the time. Alan Kendall (born 9 September 1944) is an English musician and was the lead guitarist for the Bee Gees, in an unofficial capacity from 1971 until 1980, and again from 1987 until 2001. Career His first recording was "Don't Play That Song (You Lied)", a single with a Lancashire band called Kris Ryan and the Questions, Kendall on lead guitar. His next known appearances were with Glass Menagerie. In 1970, he joined the bluesy progressive rock band Toe Fat who had released one album called ''Toe Fat''. ''One for All Tour'' is a concert video from The Bee Gees recorded live at the National Tennis Centre in Melbourne, Australia in November 1989. Melbourne was the third final stop on their 1989 One for All World Tour, which included the United States, Europe and Asia the first time the Bee Gees played live there since their 1979 Spirits Having Flown Tour. Originally, this video was released in two volumes on VHS, each 50 minutes apiece. Volume One incorrectly listed the song " My World" from 1972 instead of the song "World" from 1967. In the DVD era, the cover was slightly changed and was released under the title ''The Very Best of The Bee Gees Live!'' in 1997.
