Rohan Spong
Rohan Spong (born 15 September 1981) is an Australian documentary film director best known for his films All the Way Through Evening and Winter at Westbeth. Rohan studied film theory and practice at the University of Melbourne. Whilst living in Los Angeles in 2008, Rohan assembled his first feature-length documentary ''T is for Teacher'' (2009), about the experiences of four transgender school teachers in American schools. The film screened at a number of international festivals alongside Oscar contenders later that year. It was named by two Australian reviewers as amongst the best films to screen in Australian cinemas in 2009. In late 2011, Rohan completed the feature documentary All The Way Through Evening, about music composed in New York's East Village amidst the early years of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Natalie Bassingthwaighte
Natalie Bassingthwaighte (; born 1 September 1975) is an Australian recording artist, actress, and Celebrity, television personality. Born and raised in Wollongong, New South Wales, she began her career in musical theatre. She later pursued an acting career in 1998 with guest appearances in television shows. Bassingthwaighte rose to prominence in 2003 on the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'' for her role as Izzy Hoyland, which earned her three Logie Award nominations. In 2004, she was recruited as the lead singer of Australian electro-pop band, Rogue Traders. After leaving ''Neighbours'' in 2006 to focus on her music career, Bassingthwaighte released a cover of "Don't Give Up (Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush song)#Shannon Noll and Natalie Bassingthwaighte version, Don't Give Up" with Shannon Noll, which peaked at number two on the ARIA Charts, ARIA Singles Chart and was certified platinum. Katy Manning
Catherine Ann "Katy" Manning (born 14 October 1946) is an English-Australian actress, television presenter, voice artist and former model. Although she has made many appearances on both screen and stage, Manning is best known for her part as the companion Jo Grant in the BBC science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. Manning initially played the role regularly from 1971 to 1973 but also reprised the role in the ''Doctor Who'' spin-off ''The Sarah Jane Adventures'' in 2010. She is also well known for voicing Iris Wildthyme in the audio series ''Iris Wildthyme'' for Big Finish Productions since 2005. Film noir (; ) is a cinematic term used primarily to describe stylish Hollywood crime dramas, particularly those that emphasize cynical attitudes and motivations. The 1940s and 1950s are generally regarded as the "classic period" of American ''film noir''. Film noir of this era is associated with a low-key, black-and-white visual style that has roots in German Expressionist cinematography.
