Yi Hyoseok (, February 23, 1907 – May 5, 1942) was a Korean writer. Life Yi Hyoseok, who wrote under the pen-name 'Gasan' (가산) was born February 23, 1907 in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do. Bongpyeong-myeon () is a myeon (township) in the county of Pyeongchang in the province of Gangwon-do, South Korea. The myeon is located in northwestern part of the county.
