Olympic Green Tennis Centre
The National Tennis Center (), is a tennis center located in the Olympic Green. It opened on 1 October 2007. It hosted the tennis preliminaries and finals of singles and doubles for men and women at the Beijing 2008 Olympics as well as the Paralympic wheelchair tennis competitions. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Bas van Erp (; 2 July 1979 – 3 April 2016) was a Dutch wheelchair tennis player. He won two bronze medals at the 2004 Paralympic Games; one in the quad singles event and the other one in the quad doubles event. After the 2004 Games he was about to stop playing wheelchair tennis, because he became very ill. When he recovered he decided to reach the Paralympic Games one more time.
