What Would You Do? (2008 TV Program)
''What Would You Do?'' (commonly abbreviated as ''WWYD'', and formerly known as ''Primetime: What Would You Do?'' through the program's fifth season) is an American situational hidden camera television series that has been broadcast on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) since February 26, 2008. Created by Chris Whipple, the show with a social experiment format follows the reactions of passing strangers as they encounter conflict or illegal activity in a public setting, unaware that it is all staged and being recorded with hidden cameras. Throughout all of its sixteen seasons, the show has been hosted by news correspondent John Quiñones. ''What Would You Do?'' is a 30-minute television show hosted by Marc Summers shown on Nickelodeon from 1991 to 1993. Robin Marrella acted as the on-camera stagehand for the show's first season. Both Summers and Marrella performed their respective duties on '' Double Dare'', also on Nickelodeon. The show was produced in Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Studios in Florida; some early segments were produced at Universal Studios in Hollywood. Format During each show, the audience viewed a previously taped segment or stock film featuring children or families or others put in unusual situations. The tape was stopped before the outcome and Summers asked the audience to vote on either what they would do in the same situation or what the outcome would be. ''What Would You Do?'' is a 1920 American silent drama film directed by Edmund Lawrence and Denison Clift. It starring Madlaine Traverse, George A. McDaniel, Frank Elliott, Charles K. French, Lenore Lynard, and Bud Geary. The film was released by Fox Film Corporation in January 1920. Plot After Hugh Chilson's (George A. McDaniel) business partner, Le Roi Andrews ( Edwin B. Tilton) scams a pair of stockholders for money, Hugh is told by his wife, Claudia Chilson (Madlaine Traverse), and his lawyer, to leave the US and move to South America to avoid jail. ''Glitter'' is the soundtrack to the 2001 film of the same title and the eighth studio album by American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey.
