''What Scoundrels Men Are!'' (Italian: ''Gli uomini, che mascalzoni!'') is a 1953 Italian comedy film directed by Glauco Pellegrini and starring Walter Chiari, Antonella Lualdi and Myriam Bru. It is a remake of the 1932 film of the same title starring Vittorio De Sica.Bayman p.130 Plot Elsa is a rich and mature widow and has two children, Franca and Giorgetto. Bruno is at her service as a driver. Both the mother and the daughter enter into sympathy with the young driver, whom he thinks of both as possible wives, but he cannot make up his own mind. Then there is Gina, the owner of a garage, who is about to separate from her husband. Together with Giorgetto, Bruno then finds himself following another girl, a shop assistant at the Rinascente. Lola Braccini, born Camilla Cariddi (28 March 1889 - 19 March 1969) was an Italian film, television and stage actress. Life and career Born in Pisa, Braccini moved to Rome at 14 years old and debuted on stage in 1912 as an extra at the Teatro Argentina, in a theatrical work directed by Cesare Dondini. After a series of other experiences, in 1917 she entered the company held by Antonio Gandusio, with whom she stayed until 1922, while in 1924 she had her first leading roles. Renato Salvatori
Renato Salvatori (20 March 1933 – 27 March 1988) was an Italian actor. Born in Seravezza, Province of Lucca, Salvatori began his career in his teens playing juvenile, romantic roles. After working with directors such as Luchino Visconti, Roberto Rossellini and Vittorio De Sica, he developed into one of Italy's strongest characters actors. He met French actress Annie Girardot on the set of the film ''Rocco and His Brothers'' (1960) and married her on 6 January 1962. They had a daughter, Giulia; later the couple separated but never divorced. Salvatori died in Rome of cirrhosis of the liver on March 27, 1988, seven days after his 55th birthday. Paola Borboni (1 January 1900 – 9 April 1995) was an Italian stage and film actress whose career spanned nine decades of cinema. Early life Borboni was born on 1 January 1900 in Parma, Italy. Career Borboni made her stage debut in 1916, beginning to take minor film roles soon afterwards. She entered film in 1916 in the silent picture ''Jacobo Ortis'' directed by Giuseppe Sterni, and made over 80 film appearances between then and 1990. Life and career Born in Bologna, Bagolini studied architecture at the Bologna University, without graduating.
