Weverton Pereira da Silva (; born 13 December 1987), simply known as Weverton, is a Brazilian professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper for Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, Palmeiras and the Brazil national football team, Brazil national team. Wéverton Gomes Souza, simply known as Wéverton (born 8 March 1992), is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Maltese club Birkirkara as a forward. Club career Born in Três Lagoas, Wéverton graduated from Londrina's youth setup, and made his first-team debut on 25 January 2012, coming on as a second-half substitute in a 4–0 home routing against Paranavaí, for the Campeonato Paranaense championship. He scored his first goal on 20 January of the following year, netting his side's last of a 4–2 home success against Toledo CW, also in the State Leagues. On 19 August 2013, after being tracked by Corinthians and Palmeiras in the previous months, Wéverton left Londrina and joined Série B side América Mineiro. Weverton, Maryland
Weverton is an unincorporated community hamlet located in the southern tip of Washington County, Maryland, United States, near the north shore of the Potomac River. Its population is about 500. Weverton is located at the intersection of MD Route 67 and U.S. Route 340. The nearest incorporated communities are Harpers Ferry, West Virginia ( to the west) and Brunswick ( to the east). Weverton's approximate elevation is above sea level. Weverton Cliffs, at the southern end of South Mountain where that ridge is interrupted by the Potomac River, are a landmark on the Appalachian Trail; they sit nearly at the halfway point of the trail and are well-known to through hikers. Weverton Almeida Santos (born 28 March 1988 in São Mateus, Espírito Santo), commonly known as Ferrugem, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as right back and a midfielder for Cuiabá. Career Ferrugem began his career with Criciúma youth, before moves to São Mateus, Gama and then Ceilandense. After a short stay with Ceilandense, Ferrugem returned to Gama in 2010. His second spell with Gama lasted just a matter of months as he joined Brasiliense in June, he appeared in 22 matches of Brasiliense's relegation campaign from Série B. 30 appearances followed in 2011 and 2012 before completing a transfer to current club Ponte Preta. After 24 appearances in all competitions over two seasons for Ponte Preta, Ferrugem agreed to join Corinthians on loan.
