The Town of Weston is located in Marathon County, Wisconsin, United States. It is part of the Wausau, Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 639 at the 2010 census, increasing to 657 at the 2020 census. History Until 1905, the Town of Weston included the territory now known as the Town of Rib Mountain, which was split off under the name of Erickson. The southern two-thirds of the Town of Weston was split away in 1996 to form the village of Weston. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , of which is land and , or 0.67%, is water. Demographics At the 2000 census there were 514 people, 179 households, and 151 families living in the town. The population density was 56.7 people per square mile (21.9/km). It was founded in 1850, created from a portion of Portage County. At that time the county stretched to the northern border with the upper Michigan peninsula.
