Weston is a village in Marathon County, Wisconsin. It is part of the Wausau Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 14,868 at the time of the 2010 census. History Initially part of the Town of Weston, the village was founded on March 11, 1996 as a way to secure its borders from neighboring communities. Two-thirds of the original town were split off to form the new village of the same name. Weston is a town in Clark County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 638 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated communities of Christie and Globe are located in the town. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 36.3 square miles (94.0 km2), of which, 36.1 square miles (93.6 km2) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.3 km2) of it (0.36%) is water. History Christie is an unincorporated community in Weston on Highway 73 just south of Christie Mound. The 1918 ''History of Clark County'' described it at that time: "Christie is located on the old tote road, between Neillsville and Greenwood, and for years was an important postoffice in the county. Weston is a town in Dunn County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 630 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated communities of Comfort and Weston are located in the town. The unincorporated community of Hatchville is also located partially in the town.
