Western Trails
''Western Trails'' is a 1938 American Western (genre), Western film directed by George Waggner and written by Norton S. Parker. The film stars Bob Baker (actor), Bob Baker, Marjorie Reynolds, John Ridgely, Carlyle Moore Jr., Forrest Taylor, Franco Corsaro and Bob Burns. The film was released on June 1, 1938, by Universal Pictures. Plot While pursuing his father's killers, Bob Mason gets a gunshot wound, while recovering he is assisted by nurse Alice with whom his friend Ben is in love with. Bob discovers that the killer is Alice's brother Rudd and confronts him, however Rudd convinces Ben that Bob is stealing Alice for himself, so Ben removes the bullets from Bob's gun right before he faces off against Rudd. George Waggner
George Waggner (September 7, 1894 – December 11, 1984) was an American actor, director, producer and writer. He is best known for producing and directing the 1941 film '' The Wolf Man''. For some unknown reason, Waggner sometimes configured his name in mostly lowercase letters but with his surname's two Gs capitalized ("waGGner"), including in the credits of some of the productions he directed. Career Born in New York City, he trained as a chemist and served in World War I before coming to Hollywood to pursue a career as an actor. He made his film debut as an actor portraying Yousayef in '' The Sheik'' (1921). He later acted in Western films. The first film he directed was ''Western Trails'' (1938). Trem Carr
Tremlet C. Carr (November 6, 1891– August 18, 1946) was an American film producer, closely associated with the low-budget filmmaking of Poverty Row. In 1931 he co-founded Monogram Pictures, which developed into one of the leading specialist producers of B pictures in Hollywood. In 1935, the company was merged into the newly created Republic Pictures, but a year later, Carr broke away and reestablished Monogram as an independent company. Following his death in 1946, Monogram changed its name to Allied Artists and began producing films made on higher budgets.
