Western Norway Emigration Center
Western Norway Emigration Center ( Norwegian: ''Vestnorsk utvandrarsenter'' or ''Vestnorsk utvandringssenter'') is an open-air museum located at the village of Sletta on the island of Radøy in Vestland county, Norway. The museum consists of a small church and several historical buildings which were reassembled in a rural environment. The building were re-located from Minnesota and North Dakota from locations characterized by Norwegian American immigration during the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. Museum Centre in Hordaland Western Norway Emigration Center is operated in cooperation with the Museum Centre in Hordaland (''Museumssenteret i Hordaland'') which focusing on the preservation of the social and cultural history of Hordaland. King Harald and Queen Sonja have honored the museum with a visit. Ole Hagesæther
Ole Danbolt Hagesæther is a Norwegian theologian with the Church of Norway. He was born on 3 October 1941 in Bergen, Norway, and he served as the Bishop of the Diocese of Bjørgvin from 1994 until his retirement in 2008. Hagesæther is the son of theologian Olav Hagesæther. Hagesæther received his theological education from the MF Norwegian School of Theology in Oslo, and he graduated with his Cand.theol. degree in 1965. He served as a priest for a total of 41 years; with the last 13 years as Bishop. His farewell church service as a bishop was held in the Bergen Cathedral on 30 November 2008. He began his career as a substitute priest for the Diocese of Bjørgvin, filling in wherever needed from 1967–1968. Then from 1969 until 1971 he was a chaplain in the parish of Sunndal. Otter Tail County, Minnesota
Otter Tail County is a county in the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of the 2020 census, its population was 60,081. Its county seat is Fergus Falls. Otter Tail County comprises the Fergus Falls micropolitan statistical area. With 1,048 lakes in its borders, Otter Tail County has more lakes than any other county in the United States. History Native Americans used the area for hunting and fishing, and had permanent dwelling sites. Two Native American tribes were in constant conflict. Wilkin County is a county in the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of the 2020 census, the population of Wilkin County was 6,506. Its county seat is Breckenridge. Forman is a city in and the county seat of Sargent County, North Dakota, United States. The population was 509 at the 2020 census. Forman was founded in 1883. History Forman was founded in 1883 by Cornelius Forman. In 1886, the county seat was transferred to Forman from Minor.
