Album
An album is a collection of audio recordings issued on compact disc (CD), Phonograph record, vinyl, audio tape, or another medium such as Digital distribution#Music, digital distribution. Jackson United
Jackson United is an American punk rock band, formed by singer and lead guitarist Chris Shiflett in 2003. Shiflett recruited his older brother Scott Shiflett (bass) and Pete Parada (drums) to complete the band. A debut eponymous EP was recorded and released in 2003. Shortly after this release Parada left the band. He was replaced by Cary Lascala, and the group was then further expanded with the addition of a rhythm guitarist, Doug Sangalang. Scott Shiflett left the band in 2004, replaced by Omen Starr. The band released its first full-length album, Western Ballads in 2004. After touring, Lascala and Starr departed, and Scott then returned to band in 2005. 2008 saw the release of their second full-length album, Harmony And Dissidence. Chad Blinman
Chad Blinman is an American recording engineer and mixer, music producer, and electronic musician. He has worked with such artists as Face to Face, The Get Up Kids, Saves the Day, Jackson United, Faith and the Muse, Monica Richards, Senses Fail, Moneen, The Deep Eynde and Jarboe, and is a member of the remix/mash-up team The Legion of Doom and recording projects Viva Death and Real Space Noise. He is also on the faculty of the Music Production and Engineering department at Berklee College of Music. Biography and career Blinman was born and grew up near Los Angeles, California. From an early age, he had a strong interest in music and recording technology, citing The Beatles and many post-punk and new wave bands among his favorites. In high school he began playing drums in an electronic band and experimenting with recording at home. Harmony And Dissidence
''Harmony and Dissidence'' is the second full-length album by Jackson United. It was released in 2008 through Magnificent Records, Acetate Records and Deck Cheese Records. History The album was recorded during 2007 at Foo Fighters' personal Studio, 606 West in Northridge, CA, United States. All songs were written by Chris Shiflett, guitarist for Foo Fighters. It features bandmates Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins sharing drumming duties, as Jackson United did not have a regular drummer at the time of recording. Also featured on the album are Foo Fighters touring members Rami Jaffee and Drew Hester on keyboards and percussion respectively. Chad Blinman mixed the album at his personal studio, The Eye Socket. The album was first released as a download album via iTunes on April 8, 2008, and CD versions followed later in Australia, Japan, United Kingdom (November 3) and United States (September 2).
