Westbury is a village and civil parish in northern Buckinghamshire, England, about east of Brackley and west of Buckingham. It is close to the A422 and the border with Oxfordshire. Baron Westbury, of Westbury, Wiltshire, Westbury in the County of Wiltshire, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 27 June 1861 for the lawyer and Liberal Party (UK), Liberal politician Richard Bethell, 1st Baron Westbury, Sir Richard Bethell on his appointment as Lord Chancellor, a post he held until 1865. The title descended in the direct line until the death of his great-great-grandson, the fourth baron (who succeeded his grandfather), in 1961. Univox was a musical instrument brand of Unicord Corporation from the early 1960s, when they purchased the Amplifier Corporation of America of Westbury, New York and began to market a line of guitar amplifiers. Univox also distributed guitars by Matsumoku, effects units by Shin-Ei Companion, and synthesizers by Crumar and Korg. In 1985, Unicord Corporation was purchased by Korg, and the Univox brand was phased out. History In the early 1960s the Unicord Corporation, a manufacturer of electric transformers, purchased the Amplifier Corporation of America and began marketing a line of amplifiers under the name of Univox. The company was purchased by Gulf+Western in 1967. Westbury was a United Kingdom constituencies, parliamentary constituency in Wiltshire from 1449 to 2010. It was represented in the House of Commons of England until 1707, and then in the House of Commons of Great Britain from 1707 to 1800, and finally in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom, House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1801 until 2010. Until 1885, it was a parliamentary borough, returning two Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), Members of Parliament (MPs) until 1832 and only one from 1832 to 1885. The parliamentary borough was abolished in 1885, when the name was transferred to a county constituency returning one MP.
