Westbury Christian School is a private, co-educational, K3 through 12th grade Christian school located in Houston, Texas, United States. Westbury Christian School is open to students of all faiths, nationalities, and ethnic origins. History Plans for the establishment of Westbury Christian School began in the early 1970s with several families of the Westbury Church of Christ. The school started as a "Mother's Day Out" activity of the church. Soon, demand required that a licensed day care center be started. Following close behind the successful preschool program was demand for adding elementary grades, middle school, and finally the high school. The school was formally chartered in February 1975 with support from the Westbury Church of Christ elders. The school is independently operated by a board of trustees. The Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools, or TAPPS, is an organization headquartered in the Lone Star Tower at Texas Motor Speedway Fort Worth, Texas. It was formerly headquartered at the Salado Civic Center in Salado, Texas. Founded in 1978, TAPPS governs athletic, fine arts, and academic contests for the majority of non-public high schools in Texas. As of 2021 TAPPS organizes competitions for over 230 private schools in Texas. History TAPPS was chartered in 1978 with a membership of 20 schools. Charlie Ward
Charlie Ward Jr. (born October 12, 1970) is a former American professional basketball player. Ward was an exceptional football player as well, winning the Heisman Trophy, Davey O'Brien Award, and College Football National Championship while quarterbacking the Florida State Seminoles. Despite his college football success, he was not drafted to the NFL, opting instead to play in the National Basketball Association ( NBA). Ward played for nine years with the New York Knicks and started in the 1999 NBA Finals. He later had short spells with the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets, before retiring in 2005. Ndudi Hamani Ebi (born 18 June 1984) is an English-born Nigerian former professional basketball player who most notably played for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA) between 2003 and 2005. He initially committed to the University of Arizona, before making himself eligible for the NBA Draft. The Form I-20 (also known as the Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant (F-1) Student Status-For Academic and Language Students) is a United States Department of Homeland Security, specifically ICE and the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), document issued by SEVP-certified schools (colleges, universities, and vocational schools) that provides supporting information on a student's F or M status.
