Westboro, Ottawa
Westboro (often referred to as Westboro Village) is an area in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Located along the Ottawa River, Island Park Drive defines Westboro's eastern border, while the Ottawa River defines its northern border. Under this definition, the population of the area is 22,725 (2016 Census). Its community association boundaries are the Transitway to the north, Tweedsmuir Avenue to the east, Carling Avenue to the south and Denbury Avenue to the west. This area excludes the neighbourhood of Westboro Beach, whose community association borders include the area immediately north of Westboro, west of Island Park Drive. Westboro Station (OC Transpo)
Westboro is a station in Ottawa, Ontario. It is located in the Westboro neighbourhood, on Scott Street between Athlone and Tweedsmuir avenues. The Transitway in the area was in a below-grade 'trench' parallelling Scott Street. Each platform had an elevator and stairway to the ground level above; the two sides were connected by an enclosed pedestrian bridge, and the ground-level station area also had platforms for local buses. In June 2022, this stretch of Transitway was permanently closed to facilitate O-Train Stage 2 construction. The bus stops were relocated to curbside along Scott Street, and the original station was closed. It is within walking distance of the Minto Metropole, Ottawa's second-tallest residential building. Topeka ( ; Kansa: ; iow, Dópikˀe, script=Latn or ) is the capital city of the U.S. state of Kansas and the seat of Shawnee County. It is along the Kansas River in the central part of Shawnee County, in northeast Kansas, in the Central United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 126,587. Westboro is a city in Lincoln Township, Atchison County, Missouri, United States. The population was 116 at the 2020 census. History Westboro was laid out in 1881. The name Westboro was selected by railroad officials. A post office has been in operation at Westboro since 1881. The Westboro R-IV school district served the children of Westboro from 1882 to 1995. Westboro High school closed in 1967 and the district began to send High school students to Tarkio. The following year Westboro began to send junior high students to Tarkio as well. The district maintained a K-6 program until 1995 when the district voted to be annexed by Tarkio due to financial issues. Notable people Merton F. Westboro is a town in Taylor County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 660 at the 2000 census. The census-designated place of Westboro is located in the town. The unincorporated community of Queenstown is also located in the town. Geography Westboro is the largest town in Taylor County. Instead of the typical six miles by six, it is six by twenty miles.
