West Indian Cricket Team In The Netherlands In 2022
The West Indies cricket team toured the Netherlands in May and June 2022 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. All the matches were played at the VRA Cricket Ground in Amstelveen. Originally, the series was scheduled to take place in June 2020. However, on 22 April 2020, the Dutch government announced that it had banned all events in the country, both sports and cultural, until 1 September 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In February 2022, the revised fixtures for the tour were confirmed. It was the first time that the West Indies toured the Netherlands for a three-match ODI series. The West Indies had previously played two 55-over friendly matches in the Netherlands in 1991. Pieter Seelaar
Pieter Marinus Seelaar (born 2 July 1987) is a Dutch cricketer and a former captain of the national team. He is a right-handed batsman and a left-arm orthodox spin bowler. Having played for The Netherlands at Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 level, he made his senior debut in a C&G Trophy game against Warwickshire on 3 May 2005. Musa Nadeem Ahmed (born 10 December 1997) is a Dutch cricketer. In October 2020, he was part of the Dutch Academy squad. In May 2021, he was named in the Netherlands A team for their tour of Ireland to play the Ireland Wolves. Vikramjit Singh (born 9 January 2003) is a Dutch cricketer. He has played for the Netherlands national cricket team since 2019 as a left-handed opening batsman. Personal life Singh was born on 9 January 2003 in Cheema Khurd, Punjab, India to a Sikh family. His grandfather Khushi Cheema fled to the Netherlands following the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and initially worked as a taxi driver before establishing a transport company in Amstelveen. Anil Teja Nidamanuru (born 22 August 1994) is an Indian-born cricketer who plays for the Netherlands cricket team. He has also played for Auckland in New Zealand domestic cricket.
