West Indian Cricket Team In New Zealand In 2008–09
The West Indies cricket team toured New Zealand national cricket team, New Zealand between 5 December 2008, and 13 January 2009. They played two Test cricket, Test matches, two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and five One Day Internationals (ODIs) against the hosts, plus a three-day match against New Zealand first-class cricket championship, State Championship side Auckland Aces, Auckland. This was the first series between the sides since the West Indian cricket team in New Zealand in 2005-06, West Indies toured New Zealand in 2005–06; their previous meeting was in the Super 8 stage of the 2007 Cricket World Cup. Daniel Vettori
Daniel Luca Vettori (born 27 January 1979) is a New Zealand cricket coach and former cricketer who played for the New Zealand national cricket team. He was the 200th player to win their Test cricket cap for New Zealand. Vettori was the youngest male player to have represented New Zealand in Test cricket, making his debut in February 1997 at the age of 18. He captained New Zealand between 2007 and 2011 and is New Zealand's most-capped Test cricketer and One Day International cricketer, with 112 Test caps and 291 ODI caps. A bowling all-rounder, Vettori was the eighth player in Test cricket history to take 300 wickets and score 3,000 runs. A slow left-arm orthodox spin bowler, Vettori was known for his accuracy, flight and guile rather than prodigious turn. Andy Moles
Andrew James Moles (born 12 February 1961) is an English cricket coach and former cricketer who played first-class cricket for Warwickshire and Griqualand West. He has served as head coach of numerous international teams, including Hong Kong, Kenya, Scotland, New Zealand, Afghanistan and Bahamas. In April 2020, Moles had his left leg amputated below the knee, after contracting Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, MRSA. Playing career Moles was a gritty and determined, right-handed opening batsman. He played from 1986 until his retirement in 1997 for Warwickshire, where he scored 13,316 runs at an average of 38.59.
