Ryan Jefforey Mathews (born October 10, 1987) is a former American football running back. He played college football at Fresno State. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the first round, 12th overall, in the 2010 NFL Draft. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2011. Early years Mathews was born in Riverside, California to Tricia Mathews when she was 16. His father left before he was born and has only seen him a few times in his life. For the first four months of his life, Mathews and his mother lived out of her 1969 Oldsmobile. His mother is Caucasian and his father is African-American. Brock Elliot Marion (born June 11, 1970) is a former American football Safety (American football position), free safety who played twelve seasons in the National Football League (NFL).
