The West Coast Stock Car Hall Of Fame is a Hall of Fame for people associated with late-model stock car racing on the West Coast of the United States. Many NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series champions are inducted in the Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame once had a physical location at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, in Irwindale, California. Bill Amick
Bill Amick (November 16, 1925 – July 15, 1995) was a NASCAR Grand National Series and West Coast driver from Portland, Oregon. He has one win, nineteen top-fives, twenty-seven top 10s, and five poles in Grand National. Driving career After racing in the NASCAR Pacific Coast Late Model Series, Amick jumped to the Grand National Series in 1954 and ran six races. Two years later, he was able to finish seventeenth in the standings. He improved that in 1957, to sixteenth place. That year, he also won his first and only race at the Capital Speedway in Sacramento, California. That was his highest point finish in his NASCAR Grand National Career. He only raced Grand National part-time because he wanted to focus on the Pacific Coast Late Models in which he finished second in the standings in 1964 and won the championship a year later. Wayne Turner Wells (born September 29, 1946) is an American wrestler and Olympic champion in freestyle wrestling at the 1972 Olympic Games. Wells was born in Abilene, Texas and grew up in Oklahoma. In 1982, Wells was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as a Distinguished Member. Wrestling career While wrestling at the University of Oklahoma, Wayne was a three-time Big Eight champion and a three-time All-American. He was an NCAA runner-up as a junior, he won the NCAA national championship the following year as a senior. Wells placed fourth at the 1968 Olympic Games. While turning his attention to law school and the foundation of his professional career, Wayne intensified his wrestling efforts. Ralph Sheheen (born August 23, 1964) is an American sports announcer. He is one of the lead broadcasters of NASCAR Xfinity Series on NBCSN, and was the lead commentator of Feld Entertainment's AMA Supercross Championship from 2006 until 2020. He also is the co-owner of the ''Speed Sport'' franchise through his stake in Turn 3 Media, LLC, which publishes the aforementioned magazine, the Web site, and both radio and television shows. Sheheen was born in Utica, New York. Sheheen's work at Speed Channel included anchoring '' SpeedNews'', and being the lap-by-lap announcer for the World of Outlaws' Knoxville Nationals.
